When gauging the ability to support a device, AliveCor has to weigh various technical and security considerations along with device performance before being considered a supported device. Over time devices that were at one point compatible with our software and hardware can change the way they function to the point that we can no longer support them. Alternatively, some devices stop receiving necessary system or security updates from the device manufacturer that we require to provide a complete and secure experience.
If a device can no longer meet our stringent requirements for a proper and secure experience, they may be deemed unsupported by AliveCor, and will not be able to download the latest version of the Kardia software.
