If you are trying to record with your KardiaMobile 6L or your KardiaMobile Card and you receive the message "KardiaMobile 6L requires Bluetooth access" then you will need to grant Bluetooth access for the Kardia app in your smartphone or tablet's settings.
In this article, we will walk through how to grant Bluetooth access for both iOS (iPhone) and Android devices.
iPhone:
- Select Settings
- Scroll toward the bottom of the page
- Locate the Kardia app
- Select the Kardia app
- Tap the radio button in the Bluetooth section
Android:
Directions for smartphones with Android 11 or lower
- Open the Settings App
- Select Apps
- Select Kardia
- If you do not see Kardia, tap "See all apps"
- Select Permissions
- Select "Nearby Devices"
- Select Allow
Directions for smartphones with Android 12 or higher
- Open the Settings App
- Select Apps
- Select Kardia
- If you do not see Kardia, tap "See all apps"
- Select Permissions
- Select Bluetooth, then choose Allow
On your smartphone or tablet, make sure that your Bluetooth has been turned on before attempting to connect your KardiaMobile or record an EKG.
